ALL THE RIGHT ANGLES

Construction is well underway at our Hunters Hill project and we could not be more thrilled!

We say this time and time again, but there is nothing more satisfying than reaching the demolition stage of a renovation. Facing a stripped back interior without all the bells and whistles can be confronting for some, but for me it is so exciting as I literally see the blank canvas upon which our design vision will soon become a reality.

From our first consultation on site we knew that this home needed to ‘breathe’. Immediately we set out to expand the exterior windows and doors to capture the fabulous views and aspects. In addition to looking out, we also looked up, turning our attention to the ceiling plane conceptualising a new skylight to warmly invite the daylight into the master ensuite.

Furthermore, we planned to modernise the existing generously proportioned skylights throughout. Let there be light!

The existing round columns in the formal living area will be removed and replaced with a chic curved metallic screen to delineate circulation space from the lounge.

The entrance foyer is bathed in gorgeous natural light. The original ‘martini glass’ motif balustrade that lines the staircase is getting a makeover with a fresh lick of paint (currently covered for protection).

The internal courtyard is a natural suntrap, so we will be installing frameless glass windows to all sides to harness and embrace it’s light and warmth. The landscaping is undergoing a re-fresh by Outdoor Establishments to make the space even more special.

The outdoor entertaining space will become much more inviting as we open up the entire rear elevation making indoor / outdoor living a breeze.
