PROJECT UPDATE: BORONIA ROAD

Phase 2 of construction is well underway at #BoroniaRoad and this time we are tackling the kitchen, powder room and ensuite.

KITCHEN

We believe the kitchen is the heart the home, a place to gather, unwind and entertain. We are creating a dream kitchen for our clients with an enviable butler’s pantry, double oven and two dishwashers!

First on our ‘To Do’ list was the removal of the dividing wall between the kitchen and living areas to increase the flow and flexibility of the space.

The original kitchen did not make the best use of space and was hidden away in one corner. The U-shape configuration was not idea for entertaining and created a disconnect between the living and kitchen.

Goodbye old kitchen! The expansive area will soon feature a stunning island bench with stone waterfall edges.

The dated arches will soon be a thing of the past. Supports will be installed to quite literally hold up the roof whilst the walls are safely removed to make way for a new structural steel beam.

POWDER ROOM

Next we are giving the powder room a much needed makeover. As an avid mosaic tile lover, I never thought I would say this, but there can be such a thing as too much mosaic. To create a mosaic feature without overdoing it, we are tiling one wall in sleek matte black classic penny rounds. The hero of the powder room is the New York marble vanity with striking ‘lightning bolt’ veining.

We love being bold with our powder room designs as these often-small spaces can pack a serious design punch and this one is no exception. The black and brass finishes are the perfect mix of classic and contemporary style.

ENSUITE

Finally we are injecting some much-needed luxury into the master ensuite. What is more luxurious than a double vanity, marble details and heated flooring?! An expansive double vanity means double the storage space! The feature wall in this room is a Nero Marquina mosaic in a herringbone pattern. Wall sconces are the perfect finishing touch. I like to think of them as jewellery – earrings for the walls!

The green accent tiles have been removed in favour of a more classic monochromatic colour palette. The timber framing is up to conceal the cistern for a clean and contemporary look.

The countdown is now on until completion. We can’t wait to reveal the finished product soon, but in the meantime follow the progress at #BoroniaRoad on Instagram.
