HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Tick tock tick tock.

Demolition has begun and the countdown is on! We are on the clock to deliver a beautifully, redesigned family home all wrapped up in time for Christmas.

For our gorgeous family of five, their home near the beach was in the perfect location but in need of an update to improve functionality and flow.

Designed and built in an era where open plan living was not à la mode, we have completely redesigned the interiors to create lighter, brighter and wider open living spaces, maximising the views over the beautiful back garden and out to the ocean beyond.

The new layout offers a large, open kitchen with a butler’s pantry to die for, as well as a very stylish study nook.

The living spaces have been rearranged to include a generous and comfortable family room, a new music room and a guest bedroom.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: BABY ON BOARD

The completion of this project is timed perfectly (fingers crossed!) with the arrival of our client's first baby! We have redesigned this family home to increase the size, amenity and flow of the family room and convert the fifth bedroom into a master bathroom, to make both spaces more practical, liveable and spacious for a young family. The extension to the family and living spaces will provide more open space, perfect for the pitter patter of toddler's feet.

The couple embarked on this journey a year ago with a brief to create a beautiful, warm family home, whilst allowing them to have a luxurious 'parents retreat'. This renovation required demolishing a wall to create a generous master suite with master bathroom and walk in robe.

Works have commenced and the clock is ticking . . . only 6 weeks to go! It's like our very own episode of The Block! We look forward to sharing photos of the renovation in its entirety in 6 short weeks. Stay tuned.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION: MOORE, MORE, MORE

Why put yourself through a renovation? The dust, the tradesmen knocking on your door at 6am, the
noise . . . the list goes on.

But for our clients who have resided at Moore Park Gardens in Sydney's Eastern suburbs since its development over 15 years ago, the excitement of a renovation to achieve their ultimate dream home was something they had been talking about for several years. Upon meeting us our clients were well and truly ready to embark on this life-changing journey.

Our brief was to transform a dated two-bedroom apartment into a luxurious, one-bedroom inner-city pad made for entertaining and modern urban living.

From the beginning our clients wanted a moody and masculine colour palette and we were up for the challenge, as often a dark palette can have the potential to make a space look ‘flat’ and appear small. We created a concept that introduced warmth, light and texture in unexpected ways, whilst staying true to the brief.

The master bedroom is undergoing the most dramatic change to the floor plan, which will really enhance the way our clients will live in their new space. We are converting two downstairs bedrooms into one luxurious master suite including full size dressing room with custom joinery, and new ensuite including double marble vanity, wet room and a bath that will be big enough to lie down in!

It has been exciting working with these clients, as they have been very open to the creative process by allowing us to play with light, finishes and texture to achieve the 'wow factor’.

The renovation is rapidly taking shape and transforming a dusty, dirty construction site into a stylish, sexy apartment. Watch this space to see the final dramatic design come to life!

The master ensuite was very small and lacked personality, so we doubled the size by building into the existing walk-in-wardrobe space.
