IN BLOOM THIS SPRING

The doldrums of winter’s final days have, at last, come to an end . . . and there could be no better backdrop to spring’s brightening tendencies than fresh florals.

As nature reveals its fresh and fragrant deliciousness, so too should our interiors. It’s time to peel back the layers of winter fabrics and turn to our most-relied on feminine print, the humble floral.

The eternal spring must-have, we’ve collated our favourite – genuinely ground-breaking, thank you Meryl Streep – spring florals for your interior.

DARK FLORAL WALLPAPER BY ELLIE CASHMAN DESIGN

Proof that florals need not be sickly sweet, this dramatic, over-scale floral wallpaper is a majestic, moody nod to the spring trend.

LA PALMA WALLPAPER BY CATHERINE MARTIN FOR MOKUM

Not strictly a floral, but one for the more ambitious home decorators, this dramatic, tropical print will add playfulness to any room. We’re imagining it covering the walls of a secret powder room!

A JOURNEY AROUND THE SUN

I have just returned from a journey around the sun . . . an inspiring, exciting and magical European summer holiday in London, Greece and Italy via Dubai.

My thirst for new experiences, design inspiration, food, fashion, hotels, colour and patterns have been quenched (for now!) and I wanted to share with you some of the memorable images that I discovered.

Everything that I saw, tasted and experienced was awash with colour . . . Have I been living in a black and white neutral world? It’s like someone turned up the saturation and the glorious colours of the Mediterranean had a new intensity.

Taking inspiration from my journey, I’ve put on coloured glasses to give you my view of the very best of the world's colours and patterns this season. We have combined holiday snaps with patterns and colours that we are using in current projects, as well as palettes we are inspired to include in upcoming projects.

Enjoy the journey!
