Our darling client came to us saying that he had recently been diagnosed as an asthmatic and wanted to replace his carpet with stone floors. That was the beginning of our very own Taj Mahal . . .
The home is an iconic P&O style located on Sydney's eastern beaches. Originally renovated by Philip Cox and once photographed by Max Dupain, the history and pedigree of this home was a little intimidating. Our client was entering a new chapter in his life and we wanted his home to reflect his personal and professional successes - a space that allowed him to relax and contemplate, but also inspire.
Our client's lifetime desire to travel to Morocco set up the framework for the interior colour and fabric selections and gave us the inspiration for the external loggia and terrace. Also the impressive and much-adored art collection was the inspiration for the internal colour palette, and of course there was no hiding from that view . . . it informed everything we did. At every moment of the day the colours change and the effect on the interior is nothing short of magical.
