Alexandra Kidd Interior Design is an award-winning Sydney interior design studio that values the relationships we build with our clients. We recognise that every project is unique, and so while we hold true to tried and tested processes we’ve developed over two decades in the industry, we pride ourselves on delivering personalised design solutions.

We take a holistic view of every project – reimagining floor plans, the flow and functionality of a space, and how it can enhance our client’s lifestyle. Every detail is considered as it speaks to the thorough resolution, clear thinking and commitment to excellence we apply to each project.

Designing beautiful, functional homes filled with light, joy, colour and texture is what fuels our passion. Our goal is to help our clients emotionally connect with their surroundings by creating homes that reflect their unique style while respecting their brief and budget.

Alexandra Kidd

‘Home is more than just a space, it’s a feeling – one that speaks of your history, passions and the stories you’re yet to tell. Helping our clients navigate the journey to creating a home that is uniquely their own and the relationships we form along the way, is an immense privilege.

Our role as designers is to understand who you are and how you want to live – only this way can we create a home that is perfectly tailored to your lifestyle in every way.

We bring a creative approach and decades of skill and international experience to each project so you can enjoy the design process with the confidence of knowing that both your creative vision and budget are in safe hands.’

Meet the Team

  • Meredith Ong

    GENERAL MANAGER

Keeping our busy design studio running smoothly is no mean feat, and General Manager Meredith manages it effortlessly. She handles everything from HR and client needs to weighing in on design concepts, all without breaking a sweat.

Meredith trained in industrial design and spent several years in the luxury furniture business before joining AK.ID in 2022.

She loves trawling auction sites for vintage treasures and has her heart set on a Cini Boeri Botolo armchair in pink fur.

  • Jessica Gombault

    INTERIOR DESIGN ASSOCIATE

French-born Interior Design Associate Jess joined AK.ID in 2013. As a team leader, she has a hand in every aspect of the studio’s large-scale projects, ensuring each one is unique, delivered successfully and incorporates the sustainability principles she is so passionate about.

Jess’s singular goal is to create timeless homes that clients emotionally connect with. In her spare time, she loves bushwalking and dreaming about a vintage Atollo opal glass table lamp she hopes to purchase someday.

  • Fran Egan

    INTERIOR ARCHITECT

Helping the AK.ID designers develop creative concepts into buildable drawings, problem solving, and bringing a calming presence to the office – Fran does it all.

After cutting her teeth at a small Sydney design firm and later at an architectural and interiors practice specialising in large-scale projects, Fran joined AK.ID in 2020, bringing her extensive skills in client management, documentation and project delivery with her.

Best part of her job? “Sharing the joy of creativity with a team of smart and fabulous women.”

  • Morgan Reid

    SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

After working at a rural architectural practice and running her own studio in Byron Bay, Morgan joined AK.ID as Senior Interior Designer in 2022. With a boundless energy that sees her spending winter weekends on the slopes, she brings passion, creativity and focus to every project.

Morgan loves nothing more than the joy on a client’s face when they see their new home. She currently has her eye on some Paulistano chairs and is openly obsessed with papayas.

  • Harleen Grewal

    SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Harleen started out in HR but quickly realised a more creative path was whispering her name. After just five minutes at an interior design open day, she realised that she’d found her true calling.

Harleen spent seven years gaining industry experience in Sydney’s commercial design sector before segueing into high-end residential design with AK.ID in 2021.

She brings focus, determination and a unique creative edge to her work, loves mood-boarding and has a serious distaste for karaoke.

  • Sarina Suriano

    PRODUCT DESIGN MANAGER

From just a simple sketch or a quick conversation, Sarina brings beautiful and timeless pieces to life – a superpower that never fails to impress.

As Product Design Manager at AK.ID, Sarina has been breathing life into Alexandra’s creative ideas since 2022 in a role that involves design, fabrication selection, team and supply-chain management. Her aim is not only to ensure that each piece is executed to the highest standards and craftsmanship, but produced locally and responsibly.

  • Emma McGlynn

    INTERIOR DESIGNER

Having lived across the globe, Emma has made a house a home many times over. After a career in advertising, she decided to turn that love into a living and studied interior design.

Emma joined AK.ID as Interior Design Assistant in 2023 where she assists the team in creating their beautiful residential projects. And she couldn’t be happier; “I love being creative and hands-on in my work,” she says. “AK.ID is a team of incredibly talented designers and I can’t wait to produce great work like them.”

  • Carine Baba-Aissa

    ACCOUNT MANAGER

In her role as accounts manager, Carine Baba-Aissa manages the financial side of our business, bringing her supreme efficiency, attention to detail and respect for accuracy to the AK.ID team.

Carine is passionate about all things interiors, and believes the kitchen is the beating heart of a home where everything that matters happens. So it’s little surprise to learn that her dream purchase is a fabulous, oversized kitchen bench where she can cook, dish up and chat with friends and family.

  • Tiffany Avakian

    PROCUREMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Tiffany’s teenage love affair with thrift-store shopping grew into a passion for mid-century design, which ultimately led her to a career in interior design. In her busy role as Procurement & Administration Assistant, Tiffany assists the AK.ID design team with purchasing furnishings for their projects, and helps keep the office running seamlessly.

As for what she believes makes a house a home; “Love,” she says. “A home with heart is one where you’re surrounded by the things you treasure and the people you adore.”
