“The process is only as good as the listening that comes
before it.”
Every project begins with a conversation. Before we design anything, we listen - to how you live, what you love, and what you want your home to feel like. That understanding doesn't just inform the brief. It shapes everything.
Founded by Alexandra Kidd in 2002, our studio specialises in high-end residential interior design and interior architecture. Under the leadership of Studio Director Jessica Gombault, each project is approached with a clear structure, honest communication, and a team that remains closely connected from the first conversation to the last detail.
We design for how a home feels to live in - not simply how it looks. Every decision has a reason. Nothing is arbitrary, and nothing is hidden. Our relationship with clients, builders, trades, and suppliers is built on that same transparency, and it is why so many of those relationships have lasted decades.
What we create together is designed to endure. Not for this moment or this season - but for the way you will live in your home for years to come.
The first step
Reach out to our Studio Director, Jessica Gombault, to talk through your brief, your vision, and your thinking around timing and budget.
If our services feel like the right fit, we'll arrange a consultation - usually in person, either at your property or in our Potts Point studio with our Founder and Design Principal Alexandra Kidd.
From there, we prepare a tailored Project Proposal: the scope of works, the proposed design stages, our fees, and the terms of engagement.
The Design Process
Every project is different, and our involvement is shaped around what yours needs.
Most projects move through all seven stages - from the first concept through to the final piece of furniture in place. Others engage us for a defined scope: concept design only, or furnishings and installation as a standalone service.
Whatever the brief, each stage builds on the last, and we work closely and collaboratively with you throughout.
