Wave House
Shaped by the belief that architecture is inhabited sculpture, Wave House is more than a home - it’s an experience defined by the rhythm of the sea.
A Northern Beaches icon, the moment the owners first encountered the home, they knew it was something special - a structure that called for respect and careful refinement. Honouring its original 1980's architecture, the renovation sought not to reinvent but to evolve, preserving its sculptural essence while enhancing liveability. Nautical influences surface subtly throughout, from curved joinery to porthole details, while a palette of sand, beige, and ocean hues celebrates its breathtaking outlook.
Inspired by the Japanese Haiku effect - where empty space and minimalism heighten the beauty of the essential - the home becomes a composition of poems frozen in time, where form, light, and material converse in measured balance. Natural materials such as micro cement, stone, and timber ground the interiors in warmth and endurance, creating an atmosphere that feels both enduring and deeply resolved.
Wave House rests in simple harmony - where architecture and nature exist in poetic dialogue, every line, texture, and tone expressing a balance between form and feeling.
